Panasonic EY7440LZ 14.4v Lithium-ion Drill Driver
A Revolutionary 3.3Ah Lithium Ion Barttery
When Panasonic designed their new drill driver the brief was to make it as light and comfortable in use as possible without compromising its power output. The result was a unit that was almost 30% lighter than the 15.6v EY6432G but matching its power output. The ergonomics of the unit have been greatly improved also. The Lithium Cobalt cells used in the battery packs offer high efficiency and use condition monitors giving deep discharge and high temperature protection. Each cell is monitored individually by both the battery and the tool body giving total protection to extend the life of the batteries significantly. Panasonic use Lithium Cobalt Cells which have been proven to last significantly longer than Manganese Cells, they also give a higher energy density giving stronger overall performance, whilst also being considerably lighter than conventional NiCD & NiMH batteries. Memory-free top-up charging thanks to intelligent chargers which also prevent over charging. (The Panasonic EY0L80B is Multi-Function Charger which will also charge all Panasonic batteries from 7.2 Volt to 24 Volt Ni-Cad & Nimh Batteries)
